The Skill of Savoring: A Polyvagal Tool for Ventral Vagal Regulation

Video demonstration from Deb Dana, LCSW

DEB DANA, LCSW

When clients are stuck in cycles of anxiety, fear, distress, and loneliness ...

... often compounded by experiences of trauma and abuse ...

They need simple, but effective inner guidance to find their way back to safety, connection, and hope.

The key is not to simply try and get rid of those feelings, but to help them understand that their nervous system knows the way back home ...

What they need is a map to understanding where they are and where they need to go. And once they have the map, they can access it at any time.

In this video demonstration, Polyvagal expert Deb Dana, LCSW, shares a 20-30 second exercise that can be used with clients to deepen their positive ventral experiences.

Learn and experience for yourself the skill of savoring – a powerful way to connect to the ventral vagal nervous system.
